East End Providore

Ebenezer Place in Adelaide's east end is a hive of activity. Hipster cafes and cool eateries have popped up all over the place. My favourite by far however is East End Providore.

Tucked away on the corner of Ebenezer, just behind Rundle Street, the cosy little space is a hub of fine food, highlighting local South Australian produce as much as possible. Light and airy, the cafe offers both breakfast and lunch options, as well as a little grocery of organic fruit and veg, and some pantry items.

Food is fresh and healthy, ranging from sandwiches and salads, to hearty bruschetta and the soup of day during winter. A rotating specials menu always keeps things interesting, and the price range is enough to have you going there more than once a week.

By far my most loved menu item is the spinach and haloumi salad. Chunks of salty, chewy local South Australian haloumi is served on a bed of baby spinach, with avocado and strawberries. Filling yet light, and won't leave you hungry hours later.

The staff are friendly and the atmosphere always welcoming, meaning East End Providore is a sure thing time and time again.
