Pollen 185, Hyde Park
If you have a penchant for clean food like I do, you won't want to miss Hyde Park's latest edition to the healthy eating scene. While not advertised as such, Pollen 185 offers a delicious array of vegetarian options, with many vegan selections thrown in the mix too.
The signature dish here is the Rainbow Tart, which uses the nutty flavour of besan (chickpea) flour to form a crusty base which is then topped with roasted pumpkin, sauteed spinach and rich purple beetroot. The chunky house-made almond basil pesto that is lathered on the top adds the perfect crunch to round out this blissful dish.
The raw zucchini noodles (pictured) is a decadent size, and the heapings of avocado combined with olives and cherry heirloom tomatoes makes this meal a satisfying one.
Also on offer is a large range of smoothies and bliss balls for those after something lighter or simply something sweet.
The reasonable prices and cool vibe (not too hipster!) round out Pollen as one of my favourite new spots in Adelaide.
