The perfect morning smoothie

I tend to eat the same meal so obsessively until I cannot eat it anymore. Alas, this has recently happened with my regular breakfast staple – my banana and almond butter smoothie. I have retired that one for a while, but in the meantime, have moved on to this beauty.

This smoothie is low in sugar, full of antioxidants and has great levels of good fats to nourish you, make your skin and hair glow, and keep you full right through until lunch.

  • Half a cup of frozen blueberries
  • Half an avocado, frozen
  • 1 tablespoon of coconut oil
  • ¼ - ½ cup of coconut water (maybe more if you like your smoothie a little runnier)
  • 1 – 2 teaspoons of chia seeds, or hemp seeds (optional)

(You can also add 1 to 2 fresh organic Medjool dates for extra sweetness, although this should be sweet enough as it is).

Mix all ingredients together in your blender and drink immediately!
