Super Food Granola

There are literally hundreds of breakfast cereals available in the supermarket, but one look at the ingredients list reveals just how much sugar is in each pack. 

Not only is this recipe stupidly healthy and super simple to make, but it tastes absolutely delicious. Eat for breakfast topped with yoghurt, or eat by the handful as an afternoon snack!

Makes 5 serves. 


3 cups of unsweetened coconut flakes (the chunky flakes, not the desiccated version)

1 1/2 cups of unsalted mixed nuts. I'm a fan of almonds, pecans and macadmias

1/2 cup of unsalted sunflower seeds (pepitas)

2 tablespoons of chia seeds

1 teaspoon of cinnamon

3 tablespoons of melted coconut oil


Preheat oven to 250 F and line a baking tray with parchment paper.

Combine dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl. 

Add coconut oil and mix to combine. 

Spread out mixture evenly on the baking tray and place in the oven.

Bake for around 20 minutes, occasionally stirring to ensure it doesn't burn. I like mine extra golden, so continue to bake until the granola reaches your desired golden hue. 

Allow to cool before storing in an airtight container.
