The perfect summer smoothie

I love a good smoothie. But in my book, a smoothie needs to be filling enough to constitute a meal (albeit a light one), which requires it to have the right ingredients to pack it out and make it dense, without compromising on taste.

This is that smoothie - packed with green goodness, yet sweet from the pineapple. Add the mint and it's a summer party in your mouth!



1 cup of baby spinach

1/2 cup of kale, chopped

1/2 cup of pineapple, chopped into chunks 

1/4 cup of celery

2 sprigs of mint

1 cup of coconut water

(Optional extras - 1 tablespoon of hemp seeds; 1/2 avocado)


Combine all ingredients in a high powered blender and blend. Drink immediately!
